25-Mar-13	MALLORY PARK ACTION CAMPAIGN - Please help to save this circuit...Do you want to play a roll in saving a fantastic historical race circuit? An e-petition campaigning to stop Mallory Park being used for anything other than motorsport needs 100,000 signatures before the Government will give it an airing. Currently, residents, the local authority and the circuit leaseholders are locked in a scrap over noise regulations and strong rumours have circulated about Mallory being sold to a property developer. Speculation that has been strongly denied from many corners. Please take couple of minutes to sign up to the Save Mallory Park petition. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/46739

8-Mar-13	Woolbridge Officials updated following the AGM, see the Officials page. RTA - On some of our entry forms you will see the term: "Do you hold, or have you ever held a valid driving (RTA) licence?" RTA = Road Traffic Act. So this term is asking if you have a vehicle driving licence for the road.

23-Jan-13	SITUATION VACANT  Club Secretary  Woolbridge urgently need to appoint a General Club Secretary. The duties include; the taking and distribution of minutes of the monthly Board meetings, being the custodian of current Club records and acting as the first contact point for correspondence with the M.S.A. and other outside bodies. The person appointed should have sufficient I.T. skills to prepare agendas and minutes of meetings and to be able to distribute these electronically as well as communicate with other Board and Club members by email. It will be necessary to attend the monthly Board meetings and to act as the Company Secretary. Applications to the Board Chairman at chairman@woolbridge.co.uk . 4-Jan-13	Help with Car Trials I am looking to 'try before I buy' in the car trial scene. I would love to buy a small car but its so expensive to insure, I just can't justify it until I know it will be well used! I am hoping to find someone who I can join in their car and share the drivers seat with. I am used to navigating in the clubs 12 cars with a selection of different drivers, and this year I am reaching out and doing some of the ASWMC Navigational Road Rallys. I marshaled the December Hogcliffe trial and enjoyed it so much there and then, I just really want to give it a go now! Obviously I will contribute to cost ect. So if you want to give trials a go from new, but have not found someone to do it with yet. 25-Dec-12	Woolbridge - Boxing Day Trial - Waddock Cross - HAS BEEN CANCELLED Last night's very heavy rain, in addition to the high levels of rainfall over the last week has made the entrance and venue for the event, sodden to say the least with a great amount of water still coming out of the ground. This is after the great efforts made over the last couple of days by Charles & Julian Barter along with Colin Rolls to improve the access to the venue and marking out the event. Therefore a decision was made at 1400 approx today to cancel the 2012 Box Day Trial for the first time in it's history.
24-Dec-12	Woolbridge - Boxing Day Trial - Waddock Cross Parking for Non-participating Vehicles To ensure access to the venue, arrangements have been made to park non-participating vehicles offsite on a hard track on the other side of the road. Please park as signed. So other than disabled spectators, all other spectators will need to park on the other side of the road. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

22-Nov-12	BARC (SW) Gurston Down are delighted to announce that the 2013 season will include a new Class for Formula Ford 1600 Kent engined cars.....Specifically pre 94 Cars ..Technical regs to Blue Book ....Obviously there are some detail differences from Circuit specs..No Lap Timer Beacon for a start!.....This is a great opportunity for anyone starting out on the Single Seater path in Hillclimbing and also those who wanty to try a diiferent discipline in an existing car'   It WILL be part of the Championship and the new scoring system means that if you're registered you could take the Big Prize!!!!'   This is going to be super competitive and huge fun on a level playing field....   If you have any intial queries please contact Mike Reed..07540 887970.........it gives our esteemed Comp Sec a breather!!   Look forward to seeing all those unused FF's out in 2013......

7-Nov-12	Amendment to the EC Roadworthiness Package for Historic Vehicles The EC is trying to change the rules on what modifications / upgrades can be undertaken for a historic road car. This could rule out many of our cars by some of the simple things we have undertaken to make them safer; such upgrading brakes etc. I would suggest as a minimum that you read the petition, as it is very likely that you will be affected by this legistation if it goes through as currently defined.
